Girne is a large city on the scale of Northern Cyprus. There are many residential complexes, shops, and restaurants in it. The main tourist center in Girne is the Harbour or quay with a medieval castle at its cost. The whole city and the nearest villages lie at sea cost, but one can not swim everywhere. The Harbor is a place for tourist walks or sea trips on a yacht, motor ship, or small ship designed like a medieval galley. There is no public beach on the Harbor. If you want to swim in Girne, you have several options. You can choose any hotel on the seafront with a beach. In the Harbor area, this could be the Dome Hotel. Access to a comfortable beach with sun loungers, umbrellas, a bar, changing rooms, and other amenities will cost you 150 lire per person. A good beach within the city is at Les Ambassadeurs Hotel Casino&Marina. The entrance will cost 150 lire, but the prices on the menu will pleasantly surprise you - even lower than in the tourist-oriented restaurants of the city. Also, there is a popular and very famous beach at the Acapulco Resort Hotel in the suburbs of Girne. Residents of the southern part of the island even come here for the weekend. Besides the beach, you will find water rides and a SPA salon here.

And perhaps the most low-budget option is the city beach Kervansaray, a 15-minute drive from Girne, near Alsancak. At first glance, it is a very modest small piece of the coast with simple sunbeds, umbrellas, and a minimum of amenities. But the sea there is much cleaner than in Girne, with pleasant waves and breeze. Although, there can be a lot of people on it. After all, the entrance to the beach is only 10 lire per person. As a bonus, there are beautiful and delicious restaurants near the beach where one can enjoy a pleasant atmosphere and watch the sunset.
