16th Turkish Ambassador to Nicosia Bids Farewell to Northern Cyprus
Yasin Ekrem Serim, the 16th Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia, has announced his resignation and bid farewell to the people of Northern Cyprus.
In his farewell message, the ambassador expressed his deep gratitude to the Turkish Cypriot community for their cooperation and support during his tenure. He emphasized that, throughout his time in office, he worked diligently to improve the future for the Turkish Cypriots, participating in various projects related to e-government, the economy, energy, water supply, healthcare, and infrastructure.
"As your brother, who has lived in the TRNC at different stages of his life and will continue to live on this land, I will always stand by the Turkish Cypriots, wherever they may be," said Yasin Ekrem Serim.
He also assured that Turkey would continue to use all available resources to support and further develop the TRNC.
The ambassador extended his thanks to everyone who supported him during his time in office, wishing peace and prosperity to the Turkish Cypriot people, on behalf of himself, his family, and his colleagues.
In early March, it was announced that Ali Murat Başçeri had been appointed as the new ambassador of Turkey to Nicosia, succeeding Yasin Ekrem Serim, who had served in the position for approximately six months.
