On August 2, the temperature in Northern Cyprus will rise 2-3°C above normal
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Friday, August 2, the region will continue to experience low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists predict clear, slightly cloudy weather with no precipitation.
The air temperature will rise 2-3°C above the seasonal average. The hottest weather is expected in Nicosia, Geçitkale, and Lefke, reaching up to 40°C, while on the northern coast it will be between 33-36°C. The wind will be moderate southwesterly, with strong gusts. No storms are expected today.
There are still two meteorological warnings in effect in Northern Cyprus. The country remains at a very high risk of wildfires.
The level of ultraviolet radiation is also very high.
It is not advisable to stay in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.

- Northern coast: Kyrenia – 35°C, Lapta – 33°C, Akdeniz – 39°C, Alevkaya – 37°C, Esentepe – 36°C
- Western coast: Lefke – 40°C, Güzelyurt – 39°C
- Central part: Nicosia – 40°C, Ercan – 39°C
- Eastern coast: Famagusta – 35°C, İskele – 38°C
- Karpas: Yeni Erenköy – 36°C
