June 28: North Cyprus is experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures soaring up to 41°C
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Friday, June 28, the region remains under the influence of low pressure and hot, humid air. Forecasters predict very hot, clear, and slightly cloudy weather with no precipitation.
Today's temperatures will rise 5-7°C above normal, reaching a maximum of 41°C. The hottest areas are expected to be Nicosia and Ercan.
The wind will be moderate and from the southwest. No storms are anticipated.
Two weather warnings are currently in effect in North Cyprus. The risk of wildfires remains very high, and the level of ultraviolet radiation is also high.
It's advised not to stay in the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.
