Vehicle Carrying Ten Workers Involved in Accident in Bellapais
A serious accident occurred in the Girne-Bellapais area involving a vehicle transporting workers. The small company car was carrying at least ten passengers.
According to Kibris Postasi, another vehicle collided with the one carrying workers, dragging it several meters before it stopped.
It was later discovered that the company car was carrying more passengers than it was legally allowed to.
The vehicle involved in the accident had a passenger limit of six people — three in the front and three in the back. However, after the crash, at least ten people were seen exiting the car, many holding their heads in apparent distress. There are also reports that some passengers may have been in the cargo area of the vehicle.
Footage from the scene shows the people who exited the car struggling to move, clearly in pain. Authorities have stressed that company vehicles should never carry more passengers than they are designed for. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
