New “T” Plates Coming for Passenger Transport Vehicles
A new amendment to the Regulation on the Issuance of Special License Plates for Motor Vehicles officially came into effect on May 28, 2025, following its publication in the Official Gazette.
The regulation introduces a key change: vehicles used for paid passenger transport will now have license plates that include the letter “T.”
The new plates are expected to begin appearing on vehicles by mid-June.
This update aims to clearly identify transport service vehicles, ensuring better regulation and visibility on the roads.
