Debtors for electricity in Northern Cyprus will be disconnected on March 6
The Cyprus-Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has warned debtors about the upcoming electricity disconnection. The restrictive measure will affect those who owed more than 675 Turkish Lira by February.
According to the resource provider, electricity will be cut off for persistent non-payers as early as Wednesday, March 6.
The message stated that on the same day, electricity will be disconnected for subscribers who have unpaid debts under installment plans arranged according to legal agreements with the institution.
"In connection with the recovery of the institution's accounts receivable, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, electricity will be cut off for all individuals and legal entities whose bill payment deadline expired in February 2024 or earlier, and whose debt exceeds 675 TL," the statement by the energy company said.
To avoid problems with electricity supply, subscribers are urged to settle their outstanding debts.
