The Head of the TRNC Visited the Under-construction Presidential Campus
The Head of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, visited the under-construction Presidential Campus and received information about the progress of the work from representatives of the contracting company. Construction is underway in the Metehan area for a 400-acre park, consisting of the presidential complex and the Republican Assembly complex.
During the tour of the construction site, the president was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia, Metin Feyzioğlu, the Head of the Development and Economic Cooperation Office (CED) Erol Oz, Deputy Secretary of the President Okan Donangil, the Director of the President's Department Osman Chagakan, the Director of Press and Public Relations Turgut Vehbi, and the President's Advisor on Local Governance, Ilker Edip.
After touring the premises, President Ersin Tatar made a statement, informing that the construction of the 400-acre park, consisting of the presidential complex and the Republican Assembly complex, is being carried out in the Metehan area with funds from the Republic of Turkey.
Ersin Tatar emphasized that thanks to the large campus, the legislative and executive branches will be located together.
The President of the TRNC thanked Metin Feyzioğlu, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Nicosia, for overseeing the work conducted on behalf of the Republic of Turkey and providing necessary guidance, as well as thanked the contracting company for their work.
The construction of the campus is expected to be completed on November 15, 2024, on the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC.
