33 people received TRNC citizenship
The Council of Ministers of the TRNC approved TRNC citizenship for 33 individuals who have been residing in the country for an extended period and have earned the right to become full citizens of the state. All candidates met specific conditions required by the Citizenship Law.
The decision came into effect after the publication of the list of naturalized citizens in the "Official Gazette".
It is worth reminding that earlier it was reported that from January 1 to November 12, 2023, 4,263 people obtained TRNC citizenship. Among them, 764 individuals were naturalized by the exclusive decision of the Council of Ministers, and 867 obtained citizenship because they had previously held work permits.
Additionally, at the end of last year, on December 29, 83 people obtained TRNC citizenship.
