Water Supply Disruption in Türkeli District Due to KIB-TEK Incident
Northern Cyprus is facing another utility issue. During excavation work for a water supply project from Turkey to the TRNC, KIB-TEK workers accidentally damaged connection lines and a fiber optic cable within the Türkeli military barracks.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has announced that due to this damage, the Türkeli district will be without water for the next four days.
Residents dependent on the Türkeli reservoir for water will experience an interruption in supply until the damage is repaired. The repairs are expected to be completed by July 27.
