The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has issued a warning to debtors about an upcoming power cut. According to the utility provider, electricity will be disconnected for persistent non-payers starting Wednesday, September 4.

KIB-TEK's announcement states that, due to efforts to collect overdue payments, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, electricity will be cut off for all individuals and businesses with overdue bills from August 2024 or earlier, where the debt exceeds 675 TL.

Additionally, on the same day, electricity will also be cut off for private and business subscribers with unpaid bills that were previously settled in installments under legal agreements with the authority.

To avoid disruptions in their electricity supply, subscribers are urged to clear their outstanding balances.
