Kıb-Tek to Cut Off Power to Debtors Tomorrow
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kıb-Tek) has issued a notice warning consumers of upcoming power disconnections. According to the utility provider, electricity will be cut off on Wednesday, May 7 for customers with outstanding payments.
In its statement, Kıb-Tek announced that, as part of efforts to recover unpaid debts, power will be disconnected for all individuals and businesses whose electricity bills were due in April 2025 or earlier, and whose total debt exceeds 675 Turkish lira. Additionally, service will be suspended for any private or corporate customers who have fallen behind on installment-based payment agreements made with the company.
Kıb-Tek is urging all subscribers to settle their outstanding balances in advance to avoid disruption.
