"Air Taxi" Service Between the TRNC and Turkey to Begin
Fly Me Airlines is launching a new "air taxi" helicopter service between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The inaugural flight of this service will take place today, covering the route from Antalya to Gazipaşa and then on to Ercan.
The historic first flight will be attended by Fikri Ataoğlu, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, and Erhan Arıklı, the Minister of Public Works and Transport. The helicopter is scheduled to land at Ercan Airport at 3:30 PM. Upon arrival in Northern Cyprus, the ministers will make a joint statement.
No additional details about the new service have been disclosed yet.
