Concrete Mixer Overturns, Truck Catches Fire in Northern Cyprus
Two separate incidents involving heavy vehicles occurred yesterday in Northern Cyprus, fortunately resulting in no injuries. A concrete mixer overturned on the Tatlısu-Geçitkale road, while a truck caught fire on the Kyrenia-Değirmenlik main road.

According to the police, the first incident happened at around 2:00 PM when a 32-year-old driver lost control of a concrete mixer while making a left turn toward Tatlısu. The vehicle collided with a road sign and a steel barrier before overturning onto the roadway. Thankfully, the driver escaped unscathed.
The second incident occurred in the morning near Arapköy on the Kyrenia-Değirmenlik road. A fire broke out in a truck, destroying the cabin, engine compartment, and front wheels.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. Authorities have confirmed that no injuries were reported.
