Artillery exercises have resumed at the Beykoy firing range
Artillery, mortar, anti-tank, and anti-aircraft firing have commenced at the Beykoy firing range near Nicosia. Military exercises started on January 29 and will continue until February 2.
In a statement issued by the command of the 28th Division of the Cypriot-Turkish Peacekeeping Forces, it is stated that since the search and disposal of unexploded projectiles after the exercises will continue for some time, entry into the territory should not be attempted until the command announces the lifting of the ban.
In the case of the discovery of unexploded ordnance and projectiles remaining after the exercises, they should be reported to the nearest military and local authorities or to the internal number of the 28th Mechanized Infantry Division at 0392 236 88 66 extension number 2401.
It is worth reminding that the previous firing at the Beykoy firing range concluded on January 20.
