17-Year-Old Dies in Northern Cyprus 165 Days After Accident
A 17-year-old Aytekin Yücel, who sustained serious injuries in a traffic accident in Northern Cyprus, passed away 165 days after the incident. He was struck by a car on June 30.
According to the police press office, the accident occurred around 5:30 PM on the Famagusta–Nicosia main road near the Çanakkale pond. The young man was crossing the road when he was hit by a car driven by a 29-year-old man.
The injured teenager was taken to the State Hospital in Nicosia, where doctors diagnosed a brain hemorrhage. Despite all medical efforts, he passed away yesterday in the intensive care unit.
