High Temperatures Persist in Northern Cyprus, Reaching up to 40°C on July 2
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, low pressure and hot, humid air continue to affect the region on Tuesday, July 2. Meteorologists forecast very hot, clear weather.
Today's air temperature will rise 2-4°C above normal. The hottest weather is expected in Güzelyurt, with temperatures reaching up to 40°C.
The wind will be southwesterly and moderate. No storms are expected today.
Two meteorological warnings are in effect in Northern Cyprus. The risk of natural fires remains very high. The ultraviolet radiation level has also risen to very high.
It's advised not to stay under the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.

- Northern Coast: Kyrenia – 37°C, Lapta – 36°C, Akdeniz – 37°C, Alevkaya – 36°C, Esentepe – 37°C
- Western Coast: Lefke – 39°C, Güzelyurt – 40°C
- Central Area: Nicosia – 39°C, Ercan – 39°C
- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 35°C, İskele – 38°C
- Karpas: Yenierenköy – 36°C
