In Northern Cyprus, a car hit a four-year-old child: the driver has been arrested
In Northern Cyprus, the court arrested the driver who hit a four-year-old child with his car. The injured child is in serious condition in the hospital.
The accident occurred last Saturday, March 9th, on Izettin Kombo Boulevard in Yukarı Boğaziçi. Around 5:30 PM, Serhat Yıldırım, while driving his car, hit four-year-old Ergün Topaloğluları who was running towards the parking lot on the sidewalk.
As a result of the car collision, the child sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.
The injured child is in the intensive care unit with a fracture of the left foot and internal bleeding. Immediately after the accident, the driver was arrested.
During the trial, police officers demanded that the suspect be detained for three days for further investigation. The judge agreed with this decision.
