Shortage of LPG Gas Reported in Northern Cyprus
There is a shortage of gas in cylinders in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Supply companies have initiated controlled distribution of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to avoid completely depleting the reserves.
The shortage of LPG gas in the country was confirmed in an interview with YENİDÜZEN by the General Manager of Intergaz, Kader Kençer.
According to the manager, a ship loaded with gas is expected to arrive in Northern Cyprus only on Monday.
This information was also confirmed by Malik Ishimtekin, the General Manager of the company "Cyprus Turkish Petroleum" (K-PET), which supplies liquefied gas to the TRNC. He also noted that the delay in deliveries occurred due to unfavorable weather conditions.
"It's not a situation to panic about. On Tuesday, there will be 3 thousand tons of gas on the island," stated the company's head.
