A storm warning has been declared in Northern Cyprus for December 21
The TRNC Meteorology Department announced a storm warning on Thursday, December 21. Rain, thunderstorms, and strong storm winds are approaching the region.
The wind coming from the northeast direction from the sea will strengthen to 7 points, and from the southeast – to 8 points. The warning is in effect from midnight today until the end of the day.
Overall, on Thursday, December 21, the region is under the influence of low pressure and cool, humid air. Forecasters predict cloudy weather during the day, with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected in the second half of the day.
The maximum air temperature will reach up to 20°C, which is 2-3°C above the seasonal climatic norm.
It should be noted that, in addition to the storm wind warning, another emergency notification from meteorologists is in effect in the region: about dust that has come to the island from North Africa.

Northern Coast: Kyrenia – 20°C, Lapta – 19°C, Akdeniz - 19°C, Alevkaya - 17°C, Esentepe - 18°C.
Western Coast: Lefke – 19°C, Güzelyurt - 20°C.
Central Part: Nicosia - 19°C, Ercan - 20°C.
Eastern Coast: Famagusta - 20°C, Iskele - 19°C.
Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 18°C.
