"Ancient Melodies at the Museum" to be Showcased in North Cyprus
As part of North Cyprus’ Museum Week celebrations, two special events titled “Ancient Melodies at the Museum” will take place on May 22 and 23 at Bellapais Abbey and The Eaved House Museum.
These cultural evenings are being organized by the Coordination Centre of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre (KKTCDOB), in cooperation with the Department of Antiquities and Museums under the Ministry of Tourism. The programme will feature live music, dance performances, and informative talks—all curated specifically for Museum Week.
The first event will be held on Thursday, May 22, at 8:00 PM at Bellapais Abbey in Kyrenia. The second will follow on Friday, May 23, at 11:30 AM at The Eaved House Museum in Nicosia—an elegant historical mansion located just southeast of the Selimiye Mosque.
The concerts will include performances by soprano Sermin Dikmen Töre and pianist Esra Poyrazoğlu Alpan, with choreography by Muhammed Kris Adem. Also taking the stage will be baritone Tuğrul Enver Töre, General Director and Artistic Director of KKTCDOB.
On May 23, Emine Ziba, Director of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, will attend as a special guest and speaker.
