Hunting Training for New Hunters in Northern Cyprus
Northern Cyprus will host a training event for new hunters, providing guidance on how to obtain a hunting permit.
The Ministry of the Interior of the TRNC announced that the Hunter Training Commission will conduct training for beginners on Saturday, July 27.
On the following day, Sunday, July 28, those who pass the exam will receive the appropriate certification. Individuals aged 21 and older will be issued a “Hunting License,” while those aged 18-21 will receive a “Student Hunter Certificate.”
Prospective hunters can apply for the training at district offices or at the Hunter Training Commission (located in the Hunting Federation building) from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays. Applicants must provide a photocopy of their ID card, a complete medical report from a state hospital confirming no disabilities that would prevent them from obtaining a hunting license, two passport-style photographs. They must also provide a criminal record certificate obtained from the General Directorate of Police. Applications without these documents will not be considered.
The Ministry also clarified that candidates for the Student Hunter Certificate must be at least 18 but not older than 21, and candidates for the Hunting License must be older than 21.
