Northern Cyprus to Break Ground on New Supreme Court Building Today
Northern Cyprus will officially lay the foundation stone for its new Supreme Court building today. Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz is flying to the island to take part in the ceremony.
During his one-day visit, Yılmaz will attend the groundbreaking event in the Metehan area of Nicosia. He is also set to inaugurate a new state hospital and present medals to donors of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
The Turkish Vice President's visit will also include a review of preparations for the upcoming TEKNOFEST — the major aviation, space, and technology festival — and an inspection of the construction site of the new presidential complex, which is scheduled to open on May 3.
Yılmaz will be accompanied by Turkey’s Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum.
