A staff reshuffle has taken place at the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) in Northern Cyprus. Huseyin Pasha, the former chairman of the board, has been removed from his position.

He has been replaced by Kubilay Özkişraç, the former chairman of the Electricity Workers Union of Cyprus and Turkey (EL-SEN). The decision regarding the appointment was published in the Official Gazette.

The document reads:

  • "The Council of Ministers has decided to remove Huseyin Pasha from his position as chairman of the board of the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority and appoint Kubilay Özkişraç to this post."

In his statement, Özkişraç expressed his gratitude and sense of responsibility:

Özkişraç also vowed to investigate the recent fire that broke out at a transformer station in the industrial area of Nicosia.
