The 9th International Symposium on Mediterranean Terracotta begins in Northern Cyprus
The 9th International Symposium on Mediterranean Terracotta starts today in the municipality of Lapta-Alsancak-Chamlıbel. It will take place in TRNC from April 1st to 8th.
The 9th Arts Festival is organized by the municipality of Lapta-Alsancak-Chamlıbel in collaboration with the Alasia Terracotta Art Community. The symposium will be attended by 17 artists from Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, and Turkey.
The symposium will feature archaeological presentations, experimental research, and comments by artists inspired by works found in foreign museums.
On April 6th, at 6:00 PM, a group exhibition titled "Archaic Reflections" and an outdoor sculpture firing festival will be held at the Mediterranean Open-Air Museum.
According to the organizers, the festival "will contribute to raising awareness of the importance of cultural heritage and the need for its protection."
