Two Gas Turbines Arrive in Northern Cyprus from Turkey
Two gas turbines with a capacity of 25 megawatts each have arrived from Turkey at the Teknecik Elektrik power station in Northern Cyprus.
According to a statement from the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK), preparations are underway in the TRNC to commission the turbines, which have a total capacity of 50 megawatts. The equipment is expected to be operational in approximately 10 days.
The statement also noted that the gas turbines from Turkey have been successfully put into operation.
The company added that this acquisition will significantly enhance the electricity production capacity in Northern Cyprus.
