Worker Strikes Colleague in the Head with a Pickaxe at a Construction Site in the TRNC, Then Fled Abroad
An incident occurred at a construction site in Minareliköy, where a worker struck his colleague in the head with a pickaxe. The victim is currently in the hospital with a skull fracture, and the attacker has fled abroad, with authorities issuing a warrant for his arrest.
According to the police press office, the incident took place yesterday afternoon. Following a dispute on the construction site, one worker struck his 43-year-old colleague in the head with a pickaxe.
As a result of the attack, the victim sustained a severe injury, with a fractured skull. He was rushed to the Eastern Mediterranean University Hospital, where he received initial medical treatment and is now under observation in the neurosurgery department.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the attacker, a 41-year-old man, fled the country immediately after the assault. The police have launched a manhunt and have placed him on the wanted list.
