Repairing Lighting on the Nicosia-Kyrenia Highway: Drivers Warned of Traffic Jams

The Department of Motorways in the TRNC has announced that due to maintenance work on the lighting along the main Nicosia-Kyrenia road, traffic jams may occur. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes or schedule an earlier departure.

In a statement from the Department of Motorways, it is mentioned that, as part of the road lighting repair works carried out in collaboration with local authorities and with the support of the Republic of Turkey, lighting bulbs on the road have been replaced. Today, the replacement of the cable infrastructure has begun.

"Due to the ongoing work in the direction of Kyrenia, which is expected to last for several days, drivers are recommended to use alternative routes or leave earlier to avoid traffic jams," the statement said.
