The Kyrenia Promenade will be closed at night for traffic
The Municipality of Kyrenia has announced that the coastline near the Kashgar Court will be closed to traffic during the night. The new rules will come into effect from Wednesday, January 17.
According to the municipality's statement, as part of a program aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of the area and ensuring its safety, vehicles will not be allowed to enter the area from 23:00 to 07:00.
After the implementation of the ban, municipal security teams in Kyrenia will patrol the designated area. They will identify violators who have picnics with bonfires and play loud music. If necessary, patrols will be able to issue fines.
The statement also notes that warning signs are installed along the coastline at the entrances to the specified area. The new rule aims to create a safe and environmentally friendly waterfront.
Vehicles in the area during the specified hours can use the exit located on the east side of the coastline.
