TRNC National Wrestling Team Wins Third Place at Tournament in Kosovo
The national wrestling team of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) claimed third place in both the men’s and women’s categories at the 17th Adem Jashari International Wrestling Tournament in Kosovo.

Kemal Bayraktar, president of the Wrestling Federation, reported that the men’s team secured one silver and four bronze medals, while the women’s team earned five bronze medals.
Medalists:
Women:
- 42 kg: Aleyna Gökkan
- 46 kg: Nazlı Çiftçi
- 49 kg: Pınar Gül Ertürk
- 54 kg: Deniz Kadam
- 67 kg: Melek Demet
Men:
- 15 years, 45 kg: Arda Dumrul (Silver medal)
- 63 kg: Hasan Nazlı
- 70 kg: Mahmut Elmasri
- 17 years, 65 kg: Eyüp Köse
- 71 kg: Hüseyin Ekin
Perihan Yıldız, coach of the women’s national team, emphasized that this was the first time TRNC female wrestlers competed at this level abroad.
The national team delegation returned home from the tournament on Sunday, November 24.
