Date Set for By-Elections of Elders and Mukhtars in TRNC

The Assembly of the Republic has resolved to conduct by-elections for the vacant positions of mukhtars and members of the elders' committees in accordance with paragraph 6 of Article 14 of the Election and Referendum Law, and to set the voting day for Sunday, June 30, 2024. The decision was published in the "Official Gazette."
It is worth noting that the previous local government elections in Northern Cyprus were held on June 25, 2023. At that time, the total number of registered voters in the country was 210,121.
