Dates Announced for "Mediterranean Storm" Exercises in TRNC
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ministry of National Defense has announced that the "Mediterranean Storm - Captain Martyr Cengiz Topel" exercises will be held in Northern Cyprus from September 16 to 19.
Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, the Press and Public Relations Advisor for the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, provided details on the upcoming maneuvers. He stated that preparation and exercises by the Turkish Armed Forces are ongoing and continuous.
"In this context, NATO’s short-term warning exercises (SNEX) will take place from September 15 to 30, and the 'Mediterranean Storm' exercises, in honor of Captain Martyr Cengiz Topel, will occur in Northern Cyprus from September 16 to 19," said Rear Admiral Aktürk.
Additionally, NATO maritime guard exercises are scheduled to take place in the Eastern Mediterranean from September 10 to October 2.
