Strong winds and downpours are expected: on February 1st, a storm warning remains in effect in the TRNC
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, Thursday, February 1st, the region continues to be under a storm warning.
The region remains under the influence of low pressure, as well as very cold and humid air: strong downpours, thunderstorms, and stormy winds will continue in the country.
According to meteorologists, the storm warning issued the day before yesterday will be in effect until at least 15:00 today. Wind gusts will reach 103-117 km/h. Flooding is possible on the coasts.
Authorities and citizens are advised to take precautions against possible natural disasters such as heavy hail, lightning, flooding, falling trees, and collapsing structures.
It is also still cold - the maximum air temperature will be only 13°C, which is 2-4°C below the seasonal climatic norm.

Northern coast: Kyrenia - 13°C, Lapta - 13°C, Akdeniz - 13°C, Alevkaya - 0°C, Esentepe - 13°C.
Western coast: Lefke - 13°C, Guzelyurt - 13°C.
Central part: Nicosia - 13°C, Ercan - 12°C.
Eastern coast: Famagusta - 13°C, Iskele - 13°C.
Karpas: Yenierenkoy - 12°C.
