Beaches in Kyrenia, Güzelyürt, and Lefke have been deemed suitable for swimming
In Northern Cyprus, 30 beaches across Kyrenia, Güzelyürt, and Lefke have been recognized as suitable for "public health purposes."
According to a protocol signed between the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment and the Ministry of Health, seawater samples from these 30 beaches have been analyzed. The results indicate that all of them are suitable for swimming, meeting the required cleanliness and safety standards.
The statement notes that samples taken on July 2-3 showed that the maximum permissible limits were not exceeded, confirming the beaches' suitability for public use. Sampling will continue at beaches across the country.
An agreement signed on June 27 between the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment and the Ministry of Health includes ongoing monitoring, sampling, and analysis of seawater quality throughout TRNC.
In total, as part of this agreement, seawater samples will be taken at 83 beaches across TRNC during July.
