Police Fine Wedding Procession of Motorcyclists in Kyrenia
In Kyrenia, a wedding procession of motorcyclists caused a traffic blockade, leading to fines from the police.
According to the police press service, the incident occurred this past weekend. On Sunday evening, a group of bikers formed a wedding convoy, blocking traffic around the Zeytinlik roundabout in Kyrenia.
News of the traffic jam quickly spread on social media. The police treated the reports as a complaint against the motorcyclists and responded accordingly. After the reports of the traffic jam appeared, a road crew from the Kyrenia police department was dispatched to the scene.
Legal action was taken against the motorcyclists present at the scene. They were fined 1,696.30 Turkish lira for deliberately obstructing traffic.
