11 Arrested After Mass Brawl in Kyrenia
A violent brawl erupted in Kyrenia over the weekend, leaving one person in the hospital and 11 others under arrest.
According to the police press office, the incident started around 5:00 AM when a dispute between two groups of young people escalated. The altercation had begun earlier at a local entertainment venue. During the confrontation, a 19-year-old man seriously injured his 25-year-old opponent, stabbing him in the abdomen.
The injured man was rushed to the State Hospital in Nicosia, where he was treated and is now being closely monitored in the intensive care unit.
When the police arrived at the scene of the brawl, they arrested 11 individuals from both groups. The suspects, all between the ages of 19 and 23, are currently in custody. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
