A fire in Yamaçköy destroyed 60 red pine saplings
A major forest fire occurred in Northern Cyprus. As a result of the blaze in Yamaçköy, 60 red pine saplings were destroyed.
According to the police press service, the fire in the stream bed at the entrance to the eastern part of the village of Yamaçköy erupted on April 29 around 13:00. Dry grass, shrubs, wildflowers, and 60 red pine saplings were burned on an area of approximately 1200 square meters.
The arriving rescuers extinguished the fire. The investigation into the causes of the fire continues.
