TRNC President Joins Orchid Watching Hike in Lefke
This past weekend, the traditional orchid watching hike took place in Lefke, with TRNC President Ersin Tatar participating in the event.
The 13th annual hike was organized by the Denizli-Gemikonağı Development Association in Lefke.
Before the hike began, participants paid tribute to the Angels of Champions and the 49 TRNC citizens who tragically lost their lives in the earthquake, including Bahara and Ulaş Hüsam, members of the Denizli-Gemikonağı Development Association board.
In his speech, Ersin Tatar emphasized the importance of such hikes for promoting a healthy lifestyle. He also underscored the value of the educational efforts made to both develop the region and protect its natural resources, including the orchids of Lefke.
The TRNC President also highlighted the contributions of the European University of Lefke, Lefke Municipality, and local NGOs in supporting these initiatives.
