Dusty weather persists in Northern Cyprus for 15 consecutive days
The TRNC Meteorology Department recently extended the warning about high dust levels in the atmosphere. Fine particles carried by wind from the Middle East and Africa have remained in the air for 15 days straight.
According to meteorologists, the dust warning has been extended until the end of today.
- Since dust particles from North Africa are expected to cause air pollution in our region, citizens sensitive to dust are advised to be cautious," the department's statement said.
Recall that the dust warning was announced in Northern Cyprus on April 16, and it was subsequently extended several times, first on April 23, and then on April 25. A similar situation with air pollution is observed in the southern part of the island. In Greece, the sky turned orange due to the dust. Meteorologists are confident that this will not happen in Cyprus.
