In Turkey, the SberPay payment service has been launched. The Russian bank has partnered with the Turkish payment system.

As reported by Sberbank in its Telegram channel, now it's possible to pay in establishments and stores in the Republic of Turkey using QR codes.

Payment through SberPay is available in more than 80 cities in Turkey, including Istanbul and Antalya.

The network where you can pay with SberPay includes 21 thousand cafes and restaurants, 6.5 thousand supermarkets, and 2.5 thousand shopping malls and clothing stores. What unites all these points is that they are all connected to the local payment system, Metropol. These trading points have SberPay stickers.

According to the bank's press service, to make a purchase, you need to notify about payment through the Metropol system. Then you need to go to the website payinturkey.com and scan the seller's QR code, and then choose the payment method - SberPay or online card.

No commission is charged when paying in this way.

  • To make a payment, you need to follow three simple steps. First: scan the QR code in a restaurant or supermarket, enter six digits in a clothing store - a short code. The second step is to choose the payment method, SberPay, or online card. The third: confirm the payment, thus it will be made without commission. At the moment, payment with online "Mir" cards is available regardless of the issuing bank, - explained Polina Trizonova, head of Sberbank's press service, to Business FM.
