Electricity tariffs in Northern Cyprus increased by 15% from March 1
On March 1, 2024, new electricity tariffs came into force in Northern Cyprus. On average, electricity prices in the country have risen by almost 15%.
The Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has announced a 15% tariff increase for all tariff types. The new prices come into effect from today. At the same time, tariffs for low-income segments of the population will not be increased yet.
The temporary fee per kWh in the one-time tariff has been increased from 8.2627 to 9.5021 TL.
In the standard tariff for the population, the price for 0–250 kilowatts per month increased from 2.8791 TL to 3.3110 TL
251–500 kW from 5.9396 to 8.8305 TL
501–750 kW from 6.3865 to 7.3445 TL
751–1000 kWh from 6.9226 to 7.9610 TL
Over 1000 kWh - 8.2629 to 9.5023 TL.
Let us remind you that the last time electricity tariffs in Northern Cyprus were changed two months ago. Since January 1, 2024, electricity prices have increased by almost 7%.
