Council of Ministers Lifts Expulsion Orders for Nine Individuals from the TRNC
The Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has reversed its decision to expel nine individuals from the country. These individuals are now allowed to re-enter Northern Cyprus, provided they settle any outstanding fines.
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the Council of Ministers has annulled the expulsion orders for the following individuals:
- Recep Çelik
- Mahmut Belek
- Arif İri
- Kadir Dişçeken
- Mehmet Doşar
- Doğan Polat
- Hüseyin Arıcı
- Vejid Ali
- Fahad Butt
As per the document, these individuals can now return to Northern Cyprus as long as they pay any fines upon arrival, in order to maintain the unity of their families.
When making this decision, the authorities considered that the families of Recep Çelik, Mahmut Belek, and Arif İri are citizens of the TRNC, while Kadir Dişçeken, Mehmet Doşar, Doğan Polat, Hüseyin Arıcı, Vejid Ali, and Fahad Butt have been living in the TRNC with their families for many years.
