Miracle Değirmenlik Sports Club Suspended from TRNC Football Association
The Cyprus Turkish Football Federation (KTFF) has announced the suspension of Miracle Değirmenlik Sports Club’s membership due to an ongoing investigation into possible legal violations by the club’s management.
According to an official letter from the Nicosia District Governor, dated February 19, 2025, authorities have launched an inquiry into potential breaches of the law by the club’s administration.
"Given that this situation could lead to serious and ongoing violations, KTFF has decided to suspend Miracle Değirmenlik’s membership until the General Assembly confirms compliance with the law," the statement read.
Local media reports suggest that the association’s concerns are tied to the club's leadership, as its chairman is believed to have past legal issues, which may disqualify him from holding the position.
KTFF has given Miracle Değirmenlik until the end of the month to provide proof that its management is operating legally.
As a result of the suspension, the team’s away match against Cihangir, originally set for Saturday, has been postponed.
Last season, Miracle Değirmenlik won one of the TRNC league divisions.
Previously, it was reported that Isaac Drogba, son of football legend Didier Drogba, would continue his career at Miracle Değirmenlik.
