Temperatures rising, rain continues: Weather forecast for Northern Cyprus on September 6
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, low pressure combined with cool, moist air in the upper atmosphere will affect the region on Friday, September 6. Meteorologists are forecasting cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms.
The temperature is expected to rise 2-3°C above the seasonal average. Across most of the country, temperatures will range between 30-37°C, with the hottest conditions expected in Nicosia, Ercan, and Geçitkale.
According to the map, the heaviest rainfall will be in the central part of the country, particularly around Güzelyurt and Famagusta.
Winds will be strong from the southwest, but no storms are expected.
Two weather warnings remain in effect in Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires is still high, and UV radiation levels are also elevated.
It is advised not to stay in direct sunlight for more than 15 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking proper precautions.

- Northern Coast: Kyrenia – 33°C, Lapta – 30°C, Akdeniz – 31°C, Alevkayası – 30°C, Esentepe – 30°C
- Western Coast: Lefke – 35°C, Güzelyurt – 34°C
- Central Region: Nicosia – 37°C, Ercan – 36°C
- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 33°C, İskele – 35°C
- Karpas Peninsula: Yeni Erenköy – 33°C
