Air temperature has returned to seasonal norms: weather in Northern Cyprus on May 2nd
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Thursday, May 2nd, the region is affected by low pressure and warm, humid air. Meteorologists promise variable cloudiness with no precipitation.
After a long period of hot weather, today's air temperature has returned to seasonal climatic norms. In some areas, thermometers will rise to 31°C.
The wind is southwest, of moderate strength. Stormy winds are expected throughout the region today.
Several meteorological warnings are in effect in the region. In Northern Cyprus, there is a high probability of forest fires and a high level of ultraviolet radiation.
It is advisable not to stay under the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.

Northern coast: Kyrenia – 27°C, Lapta – 25°C, Akdeniz - 28°C, Alevkaya - 25°C, Esentepe - 25°C.
Western coast: Lefke – 27°C, Güzelyurt – 31°C.
Central part: Nicosia – 31°C, Ercan – 30°C
Eastern coast: Famagusta – 25°C, Iskele – 27°C
Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 27°C
