TRNC Gears Up to Host TEKNOFEST 2025
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, recently met with a delegation involved in organizing the 2025 TEKNOFEST, the Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival, which will be held in Northern Cyprus. During the meeting, the President was briefed on the progress of the event's preparations.
In his address, President Tatar thanked Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TEKNOFEST and the Advisory Board of the Turkish Technology Development Foundation (T3 Foundation), for the decision to hold TEKNOFEST 2025 in Northern Cyprus. He also wished the festival team success in their efforts.
President Tatar emphasized that “TRNC is an island of universities,” and noted that hosting the festival would significantly contribute to the island's economic development and further the Turkish Cypriots' quest for international recognition.
He highlighted the scale and importance of the event and added that the festival's dates would be determined with careful consideration of the region's climate conditions.
Earlier, President Tatar had expressed his support for the decision to bring the TEKNOFEST Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival to Northern Cyprus in 2025.
The festival will be held under the patronage of the TRNC Presidency, with organizational support from the Turkish T3 Foundation.
This year, TEKNOFEST 2024, held in Adana, attracted 1.1 million residents and visitors from Turkey.
At the festival, several innovations from TRNC students were showcased, and multiple youth teams from Northern Cyprus universities were among the winners.
