The 60th Turkish Pediatric Congress will be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus from May 7 to 11. This major medical event will bring together experts and researchers to discuss global challenges and innovative approaches in child healthcare.

According to a statement by the Turkish Pediatric Association, the pediatric community will come together for the 60th time this year at a congress organized under the leadership of Nur Canpolat.

Pediatricians and healthcare professionals from Turkey and abroad are expected to attend the annual gathering, aiming to shed light on the future of children's health and childhood diseases.

The congress will focus on pressing issues in the field, such as the declining interest in pediatric specializations, physician burnout, and new global threats to children’s well-being.

Under the theme “New Directions in Pediatric Care,” the event will explore the following key topics:

  • “Growing Up in a Digital World: How Children Are Integrating into Digital Life and the Impact on Mental Health”

  • “Children and Screens: The Effects of the Digital Age on Physical Development”

  • “Artificial Intelligence and Children: The Role of Emerging Technologies in Pediatric Health and the Potential Risks”

  • “The Climate Crisis and Children’s Health: How Environmental Changes Are Shaping the Future of the Next Generation”

The congress will also seek solutions through panels such as “Medicine and Burnout” and “Who Will Care for Our Children in the Future? – The Challenges Facing Pediatrics Today.”

Participants will explore how childhood experiences are being transformed by the digital world and what health risks this poses. The “New Horizons in Pediatrics” sessions will showcase innovative treatments, the latest scientific breakthroughs, and interdisciplinary solutions — all presented by renowned experts from both Turkey and the international medical community.
