The 6th Global Forum and Conference on Medical Tourism will take place in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which currently holds the temporary presidency of the Global Health Tourism Council (GHTC). Representatives from 56 countries will participate in the international event.

This was announced following a meeting held in Nicosia under the chairmanship of Ahmet Savashan, the president of the World Council for Medical Tourism.

According to the decision made, the 6th Global Medical Tourism Forum (GHTF2024), traditionally held in the countries presiding over the GHTC at the end of their terms, will be hosted by the TRNC on April 18-20 at the Limak Cyprus Deluxe Hotel.

This year's event will feature a new format with the addition of a conference section where scientific papers will be presented.

GHTF 2024 will be attended by representatives of organizations providing medical services from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Turkey, medical tourism agencies, hotels, intermediary institutions, as well as representatives of NGOs and academics from 56 countries who are members of the World Council for Medical Tourism.

The sessions within GHTF2024 will cover topics such as the "Future of Global Medical Tourism," "Health Goals and Sustainable Development," "Journey for Health," "Medical Services and Climate Change," "Medical Services and Technologies," "Health and Well-being," and "Health." Discussions will also address tourism and the promotion of an active lifestyle.

"We invite all countries involved in health tourism, especially representatives of GHTC member countries, to GHTF 2024, which will take place in Northern Cyprus, the pearl of the Mediterranean," said Ahmet Savashan.
