Turkey Sends 20,000 Food Parcels for Ramadan: TRNC to Receive Four Thousand Sets
The General Directorate of Foundations of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey has sent food parcels to several countries. The products will be distributed among those in need during Ramadan.
In total, 20,000 food parcels have been sent to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Kosovo, the Republic of North Macedonia, and Montenegro.
The General Directorate's statement emphasizes that Ramadan is a month of cooperation.
"Twenty thousand food parcels have been sent to families in need residing in lands where our ancestors trod, as a sign of dedication, mutual assistance, and solidarity," the statement said.
The food packages include flour, tomato paste, sunflower oil, beans, pasta, red lentils, noodles, rice, and tahini halva. Also included in the package are long-lasting products such as raisins and dates.
It is noted that four thousand sets have been sent to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Republic of North Macedonia, five thousand sets will go to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Kosovo, and two thousand sets have been sent to Montenegro.
"I hope that the food packages will reach our needy brothers and sisters without any problems. I would like to emphasize once again that we will continue to extend a helping hand to all oppressed regions as much as possible. As the General Directorate of Foundations of the Republic of Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, we show that we do not forget our brothers and sisters in lands where traces of Turkish-Islamic civilization are found," said Sinan Aksu, the Director-General of Foundations.
