Turkey has become one of the most popular destinations for dental tourism among Russians.

Over the past ten years, the demand for dental restoration tours has increased several times. "Dental" tours not only offer the chance to combine a vacation with comprehensive dental services but also significantly save money. However, the pursuit of profit can result in questionable material quality, lack of guarantees, and other serious risks.

Dental tourism is a type of medical tourism where patients travel specifically to other cities or countries to receive treatment under more favorable conditions than in their home region.

"Dental" tours usually include not only medical services but also organizational support: assistance with documentation, transfer, accommodation, accompaniment, and subsequent follow-up.

It's important that the patient does not need to undergo numerous tests at home and then visit the clinic; everything is done on-site in a short time.

This comprehensive service reduces the likelihood of receiving outdated analyses or images, making the treatment process more transparent, effective, and safe.

The target audience for dental tours consists of patients requiring complex and expensive procedures such as implantation and prosthetics. Young people and middle-aged adults choose tours for aesthetic procedures—veneers and lumineers installation, and bite correction using braces and aligners.

In 2025, the most popular destinations for dental tourism among Russians remain Turkey, Vietnam, and China. This is evidenced by statistics from tour operators and analyses of the medical tourism market in Russia.

The prices for such services in Turkish cities do not differ much from those in Moscow. However, combined with vacation and quality guarantees, a "dental" tour helps to combine business with pleasure when one does not want to spend their holiday going to the doctors.

The cost of a five-day tour including the installation of 24 zirconia crowns with a full range of services, including flights, insurance, and hotel accommodation with meals, will average around 450,000 rubles.

Asian countries can also offer a wide range of dental services at attractive prices. In recent months, Vietnam has become a real "magnet" for Zoomers after videos about cheap dental treatment in local clinics went viral on social networks. In one video, a girl said that the treatment of one tooth cavity, including anesthesia, an X-ray, and the filling itself, supposedly cost her about 900 rubles.

The average cost of a dental tour to Vietnam for Russians in 2025 ranges from ₽100,000 to ₽250,000. The tour duration usually ranges from five to 14 days.

Another popular destination for dental tourism is China. Border cities there have organized "dental" bus tours targeting medical tourists from the Russian Far East regions. Travel agencies in the provinces of Heilongjiang, Hunchun, and Suifenhe mostly handle the sale of packages, mainly servicing Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, Sakhalin, and Kamchatka. A seven-day travel package with accommodation in a four-star hotel costs on average 16,000 rubles. Dental services are paid for separately.

Savings compared to Moscow prices on dental tours can reach up to 50%. However, specialists warn that low prices often conceal corresponding quality.
